IKEA Summer Favorites

We went to IKEA over the weekend. It is always fun to go to IKEA - an experience. I love spending hours walking through the beautifully decorated bedrooms and the gorgeously designed kitchens. And don't get me started on the bins & baskets section. I am such a sucker for some pretty space-saving organization. I went with my mom, sister, brother-in-law (bless him), and Gabriel. Gabe started in the stroller but I ended up wearing him to create more space for all my stuff, lol. I didn't go that day thinking I needed anything but ended up finding some amazing sales and some great new summer stuff that I could not pass up. We came to the end and were standing in the (long) line when we agreed that we wished we could go back through again because we swear we missed stuff! That is, the girls agreed on this. Unfortunately, the cafe is not open at this time (major bummer, I know). Our growling tummies and a babe who needed a break from the carrier made it clear we were not going through again, although my mom and I are already planning a future trip soon. It's a good thing we didn't get anything else, because our car was packed full! Buying online is a great option if you want to avoid the crowds, the crazy long lines, and the mask-wearing. I went through the website and picked out my faves that I spotted on our trip that I either had no room or no more money for. Their new summer collection is everything I could ever want or dream of-- think all the beautifully rattan/bamboo-style baskets, lighting, and chairs and all the pretty boho hanging planters. I am tagging everything in the pictures (double-click) so that you can satisfy your IKEA craving from home!

Wall Decor

IKEA has really cute and affordable prints right now! These two garden prints are poster-sized and come framed for $19.99! IKEA is always a go-to spot for mirrors as well. (Double click on the pictures to view products.)

Lighting

How pretty are these bamboo hanging light fixtures?!

Sticking with the bamboo theme, these table lamps are just the cutest!

Plants and Planters

These are all artificial plants, but they look very real in person! If you're like me and don't always have the greenest thumb, these are a great option. The artificial hanging plants work great in baskets on the wall! (The artificial succulents are on sale through this week - $2.49 for a 3-pack!)

These cacti and succulents come in these pretty pastel-colored pots! The cacti are $9.99 for 3-pack. IKEA has so many beautiful and affordable real plants and trees that almost come home with me every time. Then I remind myself that I'm a perpetual plant-killer and I just stick with the easy-to-keep-alive succulents.

Above shows how I styled my oily-spot using both real and artificial plants. (Also linked this adorable mini diffuser from Target because it is just too cute!)

These hanging planters are all part of the new summer collection. Woven, terra-cotta, all beautiful. I have the second planter on my list for my next IKEA trip! (If I don't buy it online first.)

Kid's Stuff

I love all the kid's toys and organization and could go completely crazy in just that section! I fell in love with some furniture pieces that I wanted to highlight.

As soon as Gabe can sit up safely by himself, I'm snatching these! I love the kid's armchair. IKEA has the same version for adults, so you could get one for you and one for babe! (Totally adorable!) The egg chair swivels and also becomes a cute little hiding spot for little one! Love love love.

This little shelf will be perfect to display some of Gabriel's favorite books. I got two, painted them white, and will hang them vertically on our nursery wall.

Furniture

If you know me, you know I'm on a rattan kick! Love it, all of it, give it all to me. The rattan furniture at IKEA seems like great quality and is much cheaper than other retail stores! You can also buy cushions at IKEA to fit each piece. I'm eyeing up the armchair in the third picture - it's only $130! And I mean, come on with that rocking chair!

Loving these leaf nesting tables. Also love this ottoman with built-in storage. I can see my cat sleeping in there on a fluffy white blanket!

Baskets & Things

I want them all. No limit to the ways you can use baskets, am I right?! Loving the ones with lids.

And now, for the cutest way to picnic! ^ The backpack basket would be perfect for a day at the beach too! The basket with the handle comes with an interior bag to help keep food safe, cold, and can be removed for easy cleaning.

Clever and Resourceful Items

This cute little ice pack fits on the IKEA 365+ Tupperware and can be attached to the bottom or the top! Another perfect item for picnicking!

When cooking, I find myself glancing at a recipe on my phone or a cookbook and usually end up getting them sticky or wet. With these holders you can prop up your recipe and save yourself some counter space. The phone/tablet holder is $3.99. The larger holder is $5.99 and can be used for cookbooks or devices. It even has an opening for a charging cord!

Love these handy cabinet shelves to add stack-ability and to make the most of your space.

Crazy Good Deals

These large storage bags are less than $5, they zip shut, and are clear so that you can easily identify what is inside. I am using them for sheets and to store things like carseat inserts in the basement. They come in handy when taking your stuff from the store to your car as well!

These bottles were 99 cents each over the weekend! Online, they are $1.99 for the smaller (17 oz) bottle and $2.99 for the larger (34 oz). I am using one to water my indoor plants and the other to fill my diffuser.

This pop-up sun shelter is perfect for the beach or a picnic. It is large and can fit multiple people. It is the cheapest I have found at $24.99 and was all sold-out in the store! Getting added to my online shopping cart as we speak.

Other Faves

Love all their pillows! The beige plant-themed cushion covers are so pretty and the second one looks great in my Scandinavian-themed living room.

I want these leather pulls on every drawer in my house.

Other pretty favorites, like the rattan plant potter and magazine stand. Love these white mesh bags for produce at the grocery store or farmer's market. And I'm trying to find any open wall space in my house for that woven hanging storage "bag".
